ASME U & R Stamp Certification
A good company always takes quality measures and precautions when it comes to protecting the environment. Irrespective of the nature of manufacturing, a company has certain responsibilities of giving back to the society. By running an environmentally friendly business, it can definitely help in reducing its impact on the environment and improve its environmental performance.
U Stamp Certification
This certification is denoted by the ‘U Stamp’ for pressure vessels. Established in 1911, ASME formed necessary regulations to govern and control the manufacturing of pressure vessels & steam boilers to reduce the risk of any mishaps and explosions on factory premises. The U Stamp code on a vessel is used to confirm that the product is in accordance to the updated edition of the code. It also indicates that the pressure vessel has been designed and manufactured as per the ASME regulations.
R Stamp Certification
R Stamp is required for welding repairs done on the pressure vessels and to alter a variety of non-fired pressure vessels and tanks. There is an exhaustive procedure that the company needs to follow in order to qualify and retain the R Stamp certification. This procedure involves the company to demonstrate competence in performing actual repair and the repair procedure for tanks or vessels. Also, the company is entitled to document and maintain records of each repair and alteration.
